FLiP is our annual zine. Every spring a collection box sits in our studio for students, mentors and alumni to contribute drawings, writings, photographs and other submissions to go in our annual publication which is released at the Art Party in May.

Every year the submission box takes on a new look. In the past its been a giant robot, an electrical switch, a nintendo (FLiPtendo), an iPod, a coin… and this year Herny has worked with admirable intensity on constructing a Kedrin!

You feed FLiP by feeding Kedrin submissions of artwork. His mouth opens… he’s a starving artist! And you can “flip” his glasses once you submit work, since his hair is made of velcro. Notice his uniform- Kedrin is a fan of comic books, and is very much a super hero at New Urban Arts.
