Jazzmen Lee-Johnson

Jazzmen Johnson is multi-medium artist working in animation, printmaking, illustration music, and performance. A Baltimore native, obsessed with cartoons, music and travel—both global and cosmic—she splits her time between the USA and South Africa with her band Folk Told Me. She has shared her work in Hong Kong, India, Germany, and South Africa. She received her BFA in Film and Animation at RISD and her MA in Public Humanities at Brown University, where she was also a Public History of Slavery Fellow at the Center for the Study of Slavery and Justice.
