Mary Adewusi was an active student participant at New Urban Arts, while attending Classical High School. She worked with many mentors exploring medias including photography, spoken word poetry, paint, collage, mosaics and mixed media. She especially became skilled at the art of conversation. After graduating high school, Mary initiated a youth advisory board council at New Urban Arts, convening the youth led initiatives already taking place into a more unified effort. The following year she attended and later graduated Mount Holyoke College as a Chemistry major.
