Morgan Street

Born and raised in Rhode Island, Morgan studied Industrial Design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.  She has spent the last few years working as a freelance carpenter, fabricator, designer, puppeteer and teacher specializing in furniture, sets, puppets, props and mechanisms.  She has worked with and for groups such as: Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, Furry Puppet Studio, Bread and Puppet and Beam Camp along with many independent films, theater productions and bands.

A lifelong builder, Morgan loves making making things big and small out of all kinds of materials, mainly focusing on wearable sculpture, puppetry, interactive installation and general 3D weirdness.

Free time is spent biking fast, baking desserts, random gift giving, excessive tinkering and testing the limits of the postal system.  She is thrilled to be back in her home state and is excited to share her love of making and problem solving with the wonderful people of New Urban Arts.
