Owen is a Providence, RI native and NUA alumni and former mentor. After graduating Classical High School (2002), Owen joined Americorps Vista and worked with Everett Arts. Post Everett, Owen worked in the fields of graphic communication, photography and computer arts while taking college courses at CCRI, RIC and RISD. Owen taught computer arts and technical theatre with a private high school, St. Andrews, for two years, then worked at the Apple store for three years while completing a BFA in Digital Media at UMass Dartmouth in 2014.

Owen and his wife, who also works in the field of youth development, live in Providence with their dog, Savannah. The current creative practices Owen enjoys are illustrating and curating his grandfather’s old photos as well as his own
