Amy Punchak discovered a love for fabric sculpture as a RISD pre-college student, where she also discovered other creative teens and the motivation to get through high school. After starting her BFA at Parsons and finishing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she moved back to New England. It is here in Providence that she learned to be an art teacher, a citizen, an advocate, a parent, a neighbor, and volunteer. For years as a Providence Public Schools parent, she collaborated with schools and the district on family engagement efforts. She has a Master in Arts in Teaching from RISD and works as a substitute and after school teacher at Gordon School.
