Michael recently retired from the YMCA after a 39 year career that spanned three Y associations (North Attleboro, MA; Manchester, NH; and the YMCA of Greater Providence). Michael served in numerous capacities, including VP, Leadership Development; Chief Operating Officer; and Chief Strategy Officer.

Michael has been engaged as a community volunteer with Girls Rock RI, First Works RI, College Visions, Youth Pride, and Young Voices. Michael served on the NUA Board from 1997-2003 and served as Board Chair 2000-2002.

Michael is married to his longtime partner David Liddle and enjoys independent films, following his Boston Sports teams, and engaging in issues oriented policy discussions.
