Steeped in Creativity is a unique exhibition, hosted by Women & Infants Hospital, of artwork by New Urban Arts students and the late Anthony Quinn. Anthony Quinn is best known for his groundbreaking acting career, including two best actor Oscars, the first of which made him the first Mexican-American to win an Academy Award. However, he was also a lifelong creative autodidact and polymath whose interests included art, architecture, sculpture, and writing. He also participated in various civil rights and social causes, particularly in greater Los Angeles, where he grew up.
In his later years, he lived in Rhode Island, where he focused on painting and sculpture. This exhibition displays his work alongside the work of New Urban Arts students.
