Jamie Fagant

Jamie is excited to be mentoring for the first time at New Urban Arts as Props and Puppetry mentor. Jamie was born and raised on Long Island with a very artistic family who inspired her great love for theater and the arts. With many train tickets spent to good ole NYC, Jamie had many wonderful opportunities to work on various theatrical projects such as working at the Rockefeller Center FDNY Exhibit, MTV’S Celebrity Deathmatch and Central Park’s Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre. She attended The Eugene O’Neill’s Puppetry Conference where she studied Shadow Puppetry. Jamie found a real passion in teaching art at various summer programs at QVCC and Tufts University. She also taught for three years as Scenic Artist and Props Master at Boston College. Jamie is very happy to be able to get back into her art and give back in return as an artist mentor. Jamie would love to her thank her twin sister (and fellow mentor) Morgan who helped her discover this little gem called New Urban Arts.
