Lauren’s educational background is in sculpture, yet her more recent work explores multi-media art, sound art, and film. Through her artwork, she seeks the involvement of an audience. She brings this theme with her to New Urban Arts, where she is able to share her creative practice more directly. She has been a member of the New Urban Arts community since her graduation from Brown University in 2005 with a B.A. in Visual Arts. This year she will be working with students to create direct animations and 8mm films. When she is not at New Urban Arts, she spends her time working in her studio, watching her plants grow, and making pies.
