Yajaira Reyes is a first-generation Latina and a Rhode Island native. Her journey in the non profit sector field began over seven years ago, and she has since taken on various roles, each contributing to her skill set. Before joining New Urban Arts, she worked as the Senior Development Manager at City Year Providence, where she honed her skills in fundraising and resource mobilization. She has a keen understanding of donor relations, grant writing, and strategic planning, which has been instrumental in furthering the causes of the organizations she has been associated with.

Beyond the workplace, Yajaira is a loving mother who understands the importance of balancing family life with a career. She is an avid reader and writer, which reflects her curiosity and passion for learning. She also loves music and finding rest near the ocean.
