Pictures from April Break: Threads for a clereSTORY

Over April break, a small cohort of our students were busy in the studio designing a new clerestory. What is a clerestory? In our case, it’s the row of small windows above the main windows in the front of the studio. The goal of this program was to use sewing, embroidery, and other textile arts and techniques to adorn our windows, and students and mentors delved deep into our fashion & sewing area, brainstormed with collaborative drawing games, and visited the botanical gardens in Roger Williams Park for design inspiration and sketching.
