Andy MacMannis

Andy MacMannis has worked in Rhode Island’s education landscape since 2006– serving in a wide variety of roles: after school support staff for a neighborhood-based program, then special educator and founding charter school staff at Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts (TAPA), where he eventually became the Assistant Head of School, and now serving as the Director of School Opportunities at the state-level for the Rhode Island Department of Education. During this time he earned degrees at Providence College and Brown University. While at TAPA, he was recognized in Providence Monthly as one of the ten “to watch” in the city in 2020, and led a team that gave the school the national designation as an XQ Super School. Now, at RIDE, his most exciting work centers around providing opportunities for collaboration across different education sectors. Andy lives in Warwick, RI with his amazing wife Katherine, his incredible son, and his wonderful dog.
