Hello! I am a trans-racial adoptee from China, an older sister, a theater lover, an MCU nerd. I grew up in Fox Point and attended The Gordon School. I then later
moved to Blackstone and went to Classical. College was spent at Clark University in Worcester Massachusetts. Now I’m back living on the West Side right on Dexter Park. The lore of “never leaving RI” might ring true for me, but I don’t interpret that with
anything but pride. Yes we are small, but our community spans identities and cultures. Performing arts has been my favorite form. Trinity’s YASI camp was how I spent summers, volunteering at PPAC, every production in high school, dance team in college. I had aspirations of being an actor, and my whole college application process was monologues, tapes, and auditions – I ended up majoring in Psychology, with a
minor in marketing, but never lost my theater bug. I fully appreciate the expression that art allows, and the spaces that Providence holds for that. After COVID, I found opportunity back at Gordon School working with my former theater teacher Milly Massey on a production of Into The Woods. I then stepped into an Admissions
Associate role and that’s where I’ve been for the past 3 years. Working alongside middle schoolers as an advisor, and interviewing prospective families, I continue to see the importance and need for creative resources, artistic outlets, and safe spaces for expression.
