Associate Director of Policy Analysis, Research and Development, Rhode Island Department of Human Services

Maria Cimini has served as an advocate for vulnerable Rhode Islanders in a number of roles over the past 15 years. Before joining DHS, she worked at the Rhode Island Coalition of the Homeless. She has also done SNAP Outreach at the University of Rhode Island and was assistant director and volunteer coordinator at the South Providence Neighborhood Ministries.

Cimini was also a state General Assembly member in the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015 for the Providence area, District 7, where she still resides.
