We are excited to announce that the National Endowment for the Arts has approved New Urban Arts for a grant in the amount of $25,000. We look forward to working with the NEA to finalize the grant paperwork and appreciate the agency’s support for this project. Specifically, this grant will support our resident artist mentors, the core educators in our afterschool Youth Mentorship in the Arts Program, NUA’s longest-running program, which the NEA has supported for many years.
“The NEA is delighted to announce this grant to New Urban Arts, which is helping contribute to the strength and well-being of the arts sector and local community,” said National Endowment for the Arts Chair Maria Rosario Jackson, PhD. “We are pleased to be able to support this community and help create an environment where all people have the opportunity to live artful lives.”
We’re grateful to the NEA and their continued support of community arts programming for Providence youth.
