Alexis Gordon, MET Art Academy Artist Mentor

Alexis is an arts educator, community collaborator, and Public Humanities scholar passionate about impactful, accessible, justice-oriented programming. They received their B.A.s (Honors) in Art History and Literary Arts at Brown University, where they then completed their Master’s in Public Humanities. She has worked as a teaching artist at the ICA/Boston, Providence CityArts for Youth, Downcity Design, and Textile Arts Center, among others, and as a researcher and online content creator for Waterfire Providence, Country Queers, Center for Digital Scholarship, and e-flux. In their free time, they love to sew and reupholster, knit, and hang out with their cat (Elmo).
