Rebecca Kerner grew up in Southern New England attending the Gordon School and Wheeler School. She is a resident of Providence, RI. Shortly after receiving her B.A. from Wheaton College (MA) she joined the AmeriCorps VISTA program and began her journey in the nonprofit world at Rhode Island for Community and Justice (RICJ). She stayed on at RICJ after her year of service and took on the role of Youth Programs Coordinator.

Rebecca is passionate about the arts. She has joined the New Urban Arts development team this fall with great excitement about the potential of providing all youth access to opportunities to thrive and become changemakers in the world.

In her free time, Rebecca enjoys gardening, herding cats, singing, and cooking.
